Assistant Professor Dr. Di Fan from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Fashion and Textiles recently marking his presence at several academic forums in China in the realm of supply chain management. Hosted by Soochow University and Zhejiang Gongshang University, the Empirical Operations and Supply Chain Management Conference and a research workshop were held from 3 to 5 June 2024. Apart from conducting a research workshop, Dr. Fan delivered a talk on “Global Operations and Supply-Chain Management Under the Political Economy”. His discussions focused on corporate governance amidst geopolitical uncertainty, offering insights closely aligned with current ESG concerns.
Following this, Dr. Fan led a workshop at the 2024 Journal of Supply Chain Management Asia-Pacific Paper Development Workshop (PDW), hosted by Zhejiang University’s School of Management. Held on 6 and 7 June in Hangzhou, China, the PDW provided a critical platform for scholars, particularly those in the early stages of their careers, to refine their research for publication with the guidance of seasoned experts.
Dr. Fan’s participation in these events highlights the significance of academic and practical insights in responsible and sustainable global operations and underscores the importance of corporate governance.
