Organized by Redress, students from the MA in Sustainable Fashion and Innovation programme at the School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) participated in an industry-focused educational session on Testing & Retail Logistics on 19 March 2025. The visit featured two companies at the forefront of sustainable fashion practices: The HULA, a pre-loved luxury fashion platform, and SGS Hong Kong Limited, a global leader in textile testing.
Retail logistics and testing are integral to fostering circularity in the fashion industry. Logistics, as illustrated by The HULA, ensures the efficient redistribution of pre-loved garments, extending product lifecycles. Meanwhile, SGS’s rigorous textile testing guarantees fabric durability, a critical factor in garment longevity. Together, these processes reduce waste, enhance resource efficiency, and support sustainable fashion goals.
