Prof. Jian CHEN
Prof. Jian Chen (PhD in Metallurgy and Materials, ORCID: 0000-0002-0261-3578) is a Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Southeast University. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University. He then pursued his PhD at the University of Birmingham, followed by postdoctoral research. In 2011, he joined Southeast University and was promoted to Professor in 2016. His research focuses on the “structure and function” design of material surfaces and interfaces, with applications in high-end equipment, energy materials, and medical devices. He has published over 120 papers, contributed to five academic books, holds more than 10 national invention patents, and has led more than 10 projects. He also serves on the editorial boards of Surface Engineering and Surface Engineering (China), etc.
